A little about me...

6/3/2016

Rolf has been working on this project for over 4 years (off and on) before dedicating himself to it as a full-time pursuit. The inspiration for this solution came from long-time friend, and owner of Erik's Sugar Bush, when Rolf with his two kids visited Erik in the height of the sugar season. They walked the lines and spoke with Erik whose daily routine was to be in the Sugarhouse by 6 am; go off to his day job as a mechanical engineer; return home to walk the lines; and then boil down sap till 2 or 3 in the morning. Only to get up to do the same thing the next day. Rolf thought, "There must be a better way..." and now there is with Sugarbush Electronics' vacuum monitoring system there is.

Founder and perpetual tinkerer, Rolf Zuk is a native of New Hampshire and grew up maple sugaring the traditional way... with buckets. A computer engineer by profession and natural inclination, Rolf has worked on a variety of projects over his 30 years as a design engineer including designing a communications nodal control element, creating reliable wireless networks. Now in his third "retirement," he has started Sugarbush Electronics, where his company mission is, "to have fun, make money, and keep active."
